William Myers, Toledo, OH—The community is coming together to support the cremation costs for William Myers, who recently passed away on August 15, 2024, while in an extended care facility. William’s passing has left a profound impact on those who knew him, especially his daughter, Katherine Huggins, who only reunited with her birth father in 2022 after being adopted at seven weeks old.

Though their time together was brief, the bond they formed was deeply meaningful. Katherine expressed how much it meant to finally connect with the man who had longed for a child throughout his life. The reunion with William and his sister Juanita brought a sense of closure and completion to a story that began many years ago.

In honor of William’s memory, Katherine has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of his cremation. As of today, $220 has been raised out of the $2,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of five donors.
