Bill was a passionate athlete and sports fanatic who had a lifelong love for baseball. He began playing the sport at a young age, achieving great success in school and advancing to play in the minor leagues. His dream of becoming a professional baseball player, like his father, was put aside when he decided to focus on his young family. Despite this, he remained an avid supporter of the game, and at the age of 76, he proudly witnessed the Chicago Cubs’ World Series victory—a dream he had held for many years.
Bill had been diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis just eight months prior to his passing. The condition, which often has no symptoms in early life, led to a cardiac event on November 19 while he was shopping. Despite living a healthy and active life, the disease went undetected for many years.
