William David Massey, Youngstown, OH—Family and Friends Gather to Remember and Honor His Life

William David Massey, lovingly known as Billy, passed away on October 18th, 2024, leaving behind a grieving family and community. William had been courageously battling ALS, a progressive and incurable disease, for the past several months. His family was told they had more time with him, but God called him home sooner than expected. He passed away peacefully in his childhood home, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived.

William was a hardworking man who dedicated himself to providing for his family. Known for his love of the Cleveland Guardians and Pittsburgh Steelers, he had hoped to share the joy of attending games with his grandchildren, but time was cut short. Despite his illness, William’s love for his family never wavered, and they are now doing everything they can to honor his final wishes of a proper burial, a place for loved ones to find closure.

Cheyenne Massey, William’s daughter, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the burial expenses, as William was unable to work or secure insurance due to his illness. In her heartfelt plea for support, Cheyenne expressed her profound loss, describing her father as a true family man who loved them with every fiber of his being. She asks for prayers and donations to help give him the burial he desired.
