William Bill Raymond Ayotte, Sebring, FL— The community mourns the passing of William (Bill) Raymond Ayotte, who left us on July 28, 2024, due to liver issues. Bill was a cherished father and veteran, known for his dedication and love for his family and country.
Bill was born on February 3, 1958, in Southington, CT. At the age of 18, he joined the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne until he was 21. After his military service, he worked as a tile layer for many years until a stroke in 2013. Bill was a loving partner to Wendy Mitchell, whom he met in 1988. Together, they adopted Timothy in 2002 and had Kate in 2003. Tragically, Wendy passed away from lung cancer in 2016, leaving Bill to raise Kate and Timothy.
Bill’s death leaves a significant void in the lives of his children, Kate and Timothy. Kate, who is now 21 years old, was caring for her father until his final days in the hospital. She is now faced with the responsibility of handling his cremation and funeral arrangements.
Connie Mitchell, Bill’s sister-in-law, has organized a fundraiser to assist Kate with these expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Help Kate Ayotte Honor Her Father’s Memory," aims to raise $9,000. So far, $575 has been raised through the generosity of eight donors, including Jaime Mitchell, Christine Mac Rae, Tina Gilbert, and Kyle Mitchell.
The community’s support is crucial during this difficult time as Kate navigates the financial and emotional challenges of her father’s passing. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help alleviate the burden on Kate and allow her to properly honor her father’s memory.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kate, Timothy, and the entire Ayotte family during this time of profound loss. May Bill’s legacy of love, strength, and service live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
