Having moved to California with his wife, Raylen, to start anew, Vernell found success in his work and forged lasting friendships in his community. He was the sole provider for his household, and his untimely death has left his wife, Raylen, devastated.
In the wake of this tragedy, Raylen has returned to St. Louis, MO, to be with family and friends, who are offering their support during this incredibly difficult time. She plans to eventually return to California to complete her college education and rebuild her life in the apartment they once shared.
