Vanessa Thomas, Ocala, FL— Vanessa Thomas, a 16-year-old girl, passed away after a long battle with brainstem cancer. She had been courageously fighting the disease for approximately two years, but with no available cure, her health deteriorated, leading her into hospice care for her final days.
Vanessa’s family is devastated by the loss. As they navigate through this challenging time, they are also facing the financial burden of funeral expenses and the cremation process. Her mother, Amber Norrie, along with her extended family of eight, has expressed deep sorrow as they prepare to say goodbye to their beloved daughter and sister.
A fundraising campaign was organized by Alexus Johnson, a relative, to assist with the funeral costs. So far, $1,415 has been raised from 19 donations. The community has shown their support with heartfelt contributions, including donations from Isabella Wagner, Luther Moore, and Scott Goldstein, among others.
As Christmas approaches, the family is coping with both grief and the added stress of financial hardship. The community’s support, through prayers and donations, has been a source of comfort during this difficult time.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Vanessa Thomas’ passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family as they mourn her loss.
