Tony Amendola, Sandia Park, NM— Tony Amendola passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2024, after a long battle with illness and chronic pain. He leaves behind his wife of nearly 30 years, Patti, and their six beloved dogs: Jake, Bella, Harley, Pepper, Ziggy, and Lennon. Tony’s unexpected passing has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and the broader community of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Tony was well-known for his work as an esteemed art collector, specializing in Southwestern and Indigenous art. He regularly hosted gatherings for the local artistic community, where his passion for art and culture shone brightly. Tony’s love for gardening, especially his vegetable and medicinal plants, was equally remarkable. He often shared his harvest with friends and neighbors, leaving behind a legacy of generosity.
Tony is survived by his four children: Michael, David, Sarah, and Danielle. He also considered many of his friends as his children, further highlighting his warm and inclusive nature. Tony is now reunited with his beloved dog Luna, who passed earlier in 2024, as well as his Pop and aunt Mimi.
As his wife Patti navigates this difficult time, a fundraiser has been set up to cover the costs of Tony’s cremation, a celebration of life gathering, and to support the family as they adjust to this significant change. The community has already come together, contributing over $390 through six donations to help support the Amendola family during this challenging period.
We are deeply saddened by Tony Amendola’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Patti, their children, and the entire family as they cope with this immense loss.
