Tom Tang, Houston, TX— It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Tom Tang, who died on December 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with late-stage cancer. He was only 46 years old.
Born in 1978, Tom was a devoted husband, father, and friend. In 2023, he and his wife moved to Houston, Texas, with hopes for a better future. Shortly after, he joined UNIUNI as the Houston Manager, where he quickly earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his dedication and hard work.
Family was the cornerstone of Tom’s life. He was a loving father to two young children, both in elementary school, and made every effort to provide a nurturing and joyful environment for them. Even in his final days, he held on to the hope that his children would continue to grow up in the United States in a safe and supportive environment.
However, during his fight with cancer, Tom’s family faced tremendous financial challenges. His medical expenses, which amounted to over $40,000, were fully self-funded. In addition, they now face funeral costs and the loss of their primary income source. To support the family during this difficult time, a fundraiser has been established to alleviate some of these burdens.
Donations will help cover medical debts, funeral expenses, and provide for his children’s future educational and developmental needs. The community has come together to offer their support, and every donation, regardless of size, is a step toward rebuilding the family’s stability.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Tom’s family during this difficult time. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Tom Tang. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
