Teressa Delayne Lee, Carrollton, GA—Teressa Delayne Lee, affectionately known as Teri, passed away on October 18, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that touched many lives. She was 63 years old. Teri was a retired law enforcement officer who had served with dedication at the Acworth Police Department and had led the Police Explorers at Powder Springs Police Department, receiving many awards for her work with the youth.
Teri’s passion for helping others extended beyond her professional life. She was known for organizing fundraisers for those in need and for always bringing laughter to those around her. In her later years, Teri lived at a nursing home in Carrollton, GA, where she became a cherished member of the community, especially known for sharing stories about her grandchildren, Emery, Minnie, and Annabelle, whom she adored.
A GoFundMe page, organized by her daughter Amanda Wick, has been set up to honor Teri’s memory. The funds raised will be used to provide a final gift from Teri: lunch and desserts for her friends at the nursing home, many of whom are low-income residents and unable to attend her funeral due to health challenges.
