Ted fought and overcame cancer once in 2010, but after his 62nd birthday in May, he began experiencing severe symptoms that led to a second, brief but valiant battle with the disease. He spent significant time in the hospital, undergoing treatment for pneumonia and AFIB. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff at UH Parma and Cleveland Clinic Fairview, it was discovered that the cancer had returned and spread, leaving no viable treatment options. Ted was moved to hospice care on August 4, 2024, and passed away peacefully two days later, surrounded by his three sons, siblings, and loving former mother-in-law.
His sister, Linda Gregory Moore, expressed her sorrow on Facebook, reminiscing about Ted’s love for shucking clams at their annual bake and cheering for the Browns. She gratefully acknowledged that Ted’s beloved Freddy would be well cared for.
