Tatyana Stepanova, a beloved member of the Budd Lake community, passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 64. She was a respected Mathematician Professor at Raritan Valley Community College, where she inspired countless students with her passion for education. Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, in 1956, Tatyana was the daughter of Ivan Stepanov and Eugenia Varyagina. Her academic achievements and dedication to teaching left an indelible mark on her colleagues and students.
Tatyana’s passing followed that of her husband, Yakov Moldavsky, who passed away in October 2018. She is survived by her son, Michael Moldavsky, who resides in Maryland.
Despite her significant contributions to the community, three years after her death, her grave still lacks a gravestone. A fundraiser has been organized by Peter Goldberg to raise $2,100 for the installation of a gravestone. So far, $300 has been raised through the generous donations of Viktor Zurakhinsky and Borys Vorobiov.
We extend our deepest condolences to Tatyana Stepanova’s family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
