Tara Lord, Coombs, BC—The community is mourning the passing of Tara Lord, who left us far too soon on August 14, 2024. Tara was a remarkable soul known for her love of life, adventure, and all things beautiful. Her passing has deeply affected those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her boundless spirit and warm heart.
Tara was a passionate animal lover, particularly fond of her cats, who brought her endless joy. Her home was a sanctuary for these furry companions, and she often spent hours cuddling with them, sharing stories and secrets. In addition to her love for animals, Tara was an avid traveler. She had a unique hobby of collecting rocks from the various places she visited, from the rugged shores of Vancouver Island to the mystical landscapes of Ireland. Each rock was a cherished memento, holding a special memory of her adventures.
Her adventurous spirit was contagious. Tara embraced life with a sense of wonder and encouraged others to do the same. Whether hiking through dense forests, kayaking on serene lakes, or camping under the stars, she lived for the thrill of exploration. Her laughter echoed in many places, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
In the wake of her passing, a fundraiser has been organized by Shanna Acton to assist Tara’s family with funeral expenses. The community has come together to support this cause, with $550 CAD raised out of a $5,000 goal through the kindness of five donors. Among the contributors are Yvette Meaud, Alycia Welburn, Jeremy Mills, Clayton Acton, and Crystal Jack, who have shown their love and support during this difficult time.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Tara Lord’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this challenging period. Tara’s memory will live on through the adventures she inspired and the love she shared with all who knew her.
