Tabitha Reed Porter, Murfreesboro, TN— Tabitha Reed Porter passed away on November 22, 2024, at 5:18 PM after a long battle with lupus. She was 44 years old. A beloved wife, mother, and sister, Tabitha’s strength and resilience were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
She had been hospitalized for over seven weeks, facing unimaginable challenges as she fought for her life. Throughout her battle, which included multiple strokes and severe complications from lupus, Tabitha remained courageous and strong. Her family describes her as the "strongest, most brave, fearless woman" they have ever known.
Tabitha was a devoted wife for 25 years and a loving mother for 20 years. Despite her illness, she was an active part of her family, loved her dog Dixon, and enjoyed the beach and supporting her favorite team, the Vols. Before her health declined, she worked full-time and was an integral part of her family’s daily life.
Her family has launched a fundraiser to cover her medical expenses and celebrate her life. The donations will help with funeral costs, hospital bills, and ongoing financial burdens caused by her long hospital stay. Over $2,500 has been raised so far, thanks to the generosity of friends and family, including a significant $1,000 donation from Janeesa Perkins.
Tabitha’s passing has left her family devastated, and they request continued prayers and support during this difficult time. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Reed-Porter family during this time of loss.
