Sierra R McDowell, Spokane, WA— Sierra R McDowell passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, after battling complications from Type 1 Diabetes. At 30 years old, Sierra was a devoted mother and sister who faced significant health challenges in the final 23 months of her life. Despite being admitted to the ICU multiple times, including a period where she was in a medically induced coma on life support, Sierra’s resilience and love for her family remained steadfast.
Sierra leaves behind her 10-year-old daughter, ReighLynn, who was the light of her life and the motivation behind her every effort to fight. Sierra’s passing leaves an immense void, particularly for her daughter, who now faces life without her mother.
In this time of profound loss, Sierra’s mother, Judith L Eastwood, has set up a fundraiser to assist with the costs of Sierra’s funeral and cremation. Judith, who is on SS Disability, has expressed the financial strain this tragedy has placed on her family. Donations will also help provide for the emotional and financial needs of ReighLynn as she moves forward without her mother.
The community has shown their support, with four donations so far, and continues to rally behind Sierra’s family during this heartbreaking time. Every contribution, big or small, will go toward honoring Sierra’s memory and providing her a peaceful farewell.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Sierra’s family, especially ReighLynn, as they navigate this challenging time.
