Siddharth Bansal, affectionately known as Sid, passed away on August 5, 2024, after a long battle following a heart attack on July 17, 2024, that led to critical complications. Despite his courageous fight, Sid never fully recovered, leaving behind a family and community deeply saddened by his untimely departure.
Sid was born on September 10, 1978, in Delhi, India, and had an illustrious career as an executive and senior leader at Salesforce. His academic journey was marked by excellence, beginning at the Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka, where he studied Electrical Engineering before transferring to the University of Wisconsin – Madison, graduating in 2000. His passion for learning continued throughout his life, leading him to earn a Master’s in Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and completing the Corporate Governance program at Columbia Business School. Sid also pursued a Life Coach certification from ICF – Accredited Coaching Education, driven by his desire to help others.
Sid’s life was enriched by his love for family, friends, and nature. He found joy in spending time with his loved ones, enjoyed long walks, and was a dedicated gardener. His family was his greatest pride, and he is survived by his beloved wife, Nidhi, and their two children, Simran (17) and Arnav (14). Simran is about to begin her college journey at Northwestern University, while Arnav has just started high school. Sid’s parents, Sushil Ratan Bansal and Alka Bansal, along with his sister Alisha, are also mourning the loss of a son and brother who brought so much love into their lives.
The passing of Sid has left his family facing an uncertain future. The void left by his absence is immense, and to honor his memory and support his children’s education, friends of the Bansal family have organized a fundraiser. The goal is to help cover Simran’s and Arnav’s educational expenses and the medical bills left in the wake of this tragedy. The fundraiser, organized by Jai Shahpuri, aims to reach a target of $50,000, though it has just started and is yet to receive its first donation.
