Having started his career in corrections in 2005, Sgt. Harris spent most of his professional life working in Baltimore City at the Baltimore City Detention Center (BCDC) and the Maryland Reception, Diagnostic and Classification Center (MRDCC). In 2023, he transferred to the K-9 Unit, where he completed two academies and cared deeply for his narcotic detection dog, Scooby, and patrol dog, Mojo.
