Sean James Mlekush, Duluth, GA—The community is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Sean James Mlekush on September 26, 2024. Sean was just 25 years old and was known for his deep love for family, his quick wit, and his passion for helping others.
Born on April 23, 1999, in Atlanta, GA, to Cheryl Ann Jordan, Sean grew up with a strong bond with his family. He was a loving uncle to Parker, William, Theo, and Elias, and cherished spending time with them. He was proud of his work in kitchens and had recently started to pursue a career working with animals. Friends and family remember him for his kindness, strength, and his ever-present motivation to better his life and the lives of those he loved.
Sean is survived by his mother, Cheryl Jordan, along with many family members, including his sisters Sarah Argenton and Stephanie Barulli, and his cousins Renee Smith and Heather Hodgson. His grandmother, Karen Kerrigan, also mourns his loss along with a wide circle of friends and loved ones.
A fundraiser organized by his cousin, Renee Smith, has been set up to help support Sean’s mother, Cheryl, with funeral expenses. Those wishing to contribute to assist the family during this difficult time are encouraged to donate. The love and support from the community are helping to bring comfort in their time of grief.
A memorial service will be held in Sean’s honor on October 4, 2024, at 4:00 PM at the Epiphany Lutheran Church in Suwanee, GA.
