Sandra Tarno Gallegos, Missoula—Sandra Tarno Gallegos, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, has sadly passed away. Sandra, known to her loved ones as Sandy, was an incredibly loving and protective figure who was deeply committed to ensuring her family and friends always felt loved, had warm meals, and a safe place to call home.
In July, Sandy fell seriously ill and was hospitalized. The diagnosis revealed that she had cancer, and despite receiving care at an assisted living facility, her condition deteriorated rapidly. On August 3rd, Sandy’s health took a devastating turn for the worse, leading to the heartbreaking news that her family only had a few days left with her.
Sandy was the glue that held her family together, and her loss has left them facing an enormous emotional and financial burden. In response, her family has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs associated with bringing Sandy home for one last time, cremation expenses, and other unforeseen challenges they may encounter in the coming weeks.
Manuel Gallegos, the organizer of the fundraiser, has expressed deep gratitude to those who have already contributed. So far, $105 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of four donors. The family will plan a memorial service at a later date, once they have had time to process and manage the overwhelming loss.
Our hearts go out to Sandra Tarno Gallegos’ family during this incredibly difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies and prayers for comfort and strength as they navigate this painful journey.
