Sandra Gabriel, a beloved resident of Toronto, ON, passed away on September 1, 2024, following a massive stroke. At 45 years old, Sandra was known for her vibrant energy, infectious spirit, and devotion to helping others. Her untimely passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Born and raised in Montreal, Sandra moved to Toronto in 2002, where she dedicated herself to a career in marketing and communications while actively supporting the Black community. Sandra was a Stage 4 cancer warrior, who continued to inspire others with her strength and positivity throughout her battle.
Her passing has affected many, including her parents, Celia Baptiste-Gabriel and Philip Gabriel, her brother Wayne Gabriel, and her nephews Jayden, Isaiah, and Noah. Her family and extended community are heartbroken over the loss of such a bright soul.
In honor of Sandra’s life, a GoFundMe has been organized by her cousin, Hazel Seaman-Williams, to assist with funeral and memorial expenses. The goal is set at $15,000 CAD, and supporters are encouraged to contribute in Sandra’s memory.
Many have expressed their sorrow and condolences on social media. Heather Seaman shared, "This is not an easy post to write, but sadly my cousin Sandra Gabriel passed away this week. My sister has set up a GoFundMe to try and help Sandra’s family with funeral expenses. Every little bit helps. Thanks in advance for your support. And we thank you for your thoughts and prayers."

A memorial service for Sandra will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at DeStefano Funeral Home, Celebration & Reception Centre in Oshawa, ON.
