Samuel Perrault, Las Cruces, NM — The community is mourning the tragic loss of Samuel Perrault, who passed away on July 2nd at the young age of 17. Samuel, affectionately known as Sammy, was a beloved grandson and son who faced many challenges in his short life but was deeply loved by his family.

Samuel’s grandparents, Joe and Dolores Perrault, along with his father Gabriel, played pivotal roles in his upbringing. From the age of 3, Sammy was raised in a loving home, and despite the struggles of his teenage years, his family never gave up on him. Joe, diagnosed with stage 4 cancer seven months ago, and Dolores are now grappling with the immense loss while also dealing with significant health and financial burdens.

A fundraiser organized by Carrie Perrault has been set up to assist with the funeral expenses and to support Joe and Dolores during this difficult time. The goal is to raise $6,000, and so far, $500 has been collected from three generous donations. Contributors like Helene & Gabriel Holguin & Family, Deniene Brown, and an anonymous donor have expressed their support through their donations.
