Sabrena Shelley, Altadena, CA— Sabrena Shelley passed away unexpectedly on October 24th, leaving her family and community heartbroken. Her daughter, Krystal Shelley, described her mother as not only a devoted parent but also a best friend and a source of unconditional support. The loss has left Krystal and her family in deep grief, and they are now seeking support to cover memorial and transition costs during this difficult time.
Sabrena was a loving mother who shared countless memories with her daughter, including late-night conversations, cooking together, and even bickering over daily tasks. Krystal fondly remembers these moments, which have now become cherished memories. Sabrena’s death has left a profound hole in her family’s heart, as she was one of Krystal’s biggest supports, especially after Krystal’s release from Valley State Prison.
Sabrena’s passing was also marked by difficult circumstances, as Krystal later discovered her mother had been in an abusive relationship that deprived her of the love and care she deserved. Despite the hardship, Sabrena’s kindness, love, and compassion were evident to all who knew her.
To assist Krystal during this challenging time, a fundraiser has been created to help with the costs of an autopsy, toxicology report, memorial services, moving apartment expenses, U-Haul and storage fees, as well as food and travel costs. The community has already begun to rally around Krystal, offering their support and condolences.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Krystal and the entire Shelley family during this sorrowful time.
