Ruby Huerta, Westminster, CO— Ruby Huerta, a cherished family member and mother, passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 31, just weeks before her 32nd birthday. Ruby’s passing follows a long and courageous battle with Fahr’s Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that caused abnormal calcium buildup in her brain. After falling into a vegetative coma for two months, Ruby passed despite the efforts of doctors.
Ruby leaves behind her 5-year-old son, Manuel Alexzander, who will deeply miss her loving presence. Her family is now facing the heavy burden of funeral and memorial expenses. To help honor Ruby’s memory, a fundraiser has been established by Lorena Huerta, with contributions going toward funeral home fees, cremation or burial costs, memorial service arrangements, and additional expenses.
The Huerta family is also working to raise awareness for Fahr’s Syndrome, a condition that currently has no cure and has taken Ruby from them too soon.
On Facebook, many have expressed their support. Linda Lanz wrote, "Amazing Keychains," while Jennifer Parra shared her condolences with a $40 donation. Others, like Maria Pozo Romero and Manuela Garcia-Morales, also contributed, helping the family during this time of grief.
Ruby’s memory will live on through the love and kindness she shared with everyone around her. The family is deeply grateful for all the support they have received and thank those who have donated and shared the campaign to help lay Ruby to rest with dignity and love.
Our hearts and prayers are with Ruby’s family during this difficult time.
