Robert Wayne Grant Jr., Houston, TX—It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Wayne Grant Jr., who passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the age of 65. He had been courageously battling cancer for many years but succumbed to a sudden heart attack late Saturday night.
Robert, born on April 21, 1959, in Houston, Texas, to Robert Wayne Grant, Sr. and Dema Joyce Grant (Parker), was a dedicated father, loving grandfather, and cherished friend to many. He is survived by his five children: Michael Callier Grant, David Ryan Grant, Brian Colin Grant, Sarah Leann Grant, and Christine Catherine Grant. Affectionately known as "P-Paw," Robert was a beloved figure in the lives of his three grandchildren: Kacie Lea Grant, Kassidy Michelle Pressler, and Caleb Lee Grant.
A fundraiser has been organized by his son, Brian Grant, to honor Robert’s memory and to assist with funeral expenses. As of today, the fundraiser has a goal of $10,000, with donations just beginning to come in. The family deeply appreciates the support during this difficult time and invites the community to join in honoring Robert’s life.
Funeral services will be held at Regina Caeli Parish on Monday, August 19, 2024. The day will begin with a visitation, followed by a rosary and requiem mass. The services will conclude with a burial at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
