Robert J. Morgan, a resident of St. Marys, WV, passed away at his home on Friday, October 4, 2024. He was 64 years old. Born on January 13, 1960, in Youngstown, Robert was the beloved son of the late Robert James Morgan and Beverly Parker Weaver.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Robert dedicated years of service to his country. After his military career, he worked at Hesco Plant, Kemp Power Inc., and Burn’s Drilling and Excavating. Robert was well-known for his love of his family and dogs, always bringing warmth and joy to those around him.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathy Cecil Morgan, and his two sons, Tyler (Patience) Morgan and Tanner Morgan. In addition, his family includes two brothers, Philip Cownden and Jesse Conner, and one sister, Kimberly Morgan-Houston. His nephews, Cody and Kyle Cownden, and nieces, Tiffany Flowers and Courtney Houston, along with two great-nephews, Caspen and Clayton, also mourn his loss. He was preceded in death by his parents, leaving behind a strong and loving family.
Shannon Golding has organized a fundraiser to help the family with funeral expenses during this difficult time. While donations are yet to be received, the family expresses deep gratitude for any support that may come their way.
