Ragaa Mohamed, Welland, ON—It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Ragaa Mohamed. Ragaa recently completed Umrah in February 2024 and passed away on the blessed day of Ashura. Known for her child-like energy and pure heart, Ragaa touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, laughter, and optimism. Her spirit was a beacon of light and joy, and her memory will forever live in our hearts.
In loving memory of Ragaa, Esra M has organized a fundraiser to honor her legacy through a Saddaqah Jariyah fund. Saddaqah Jariyah is a form of charity that continues to benefit others long after it is given, reflecting the love and compassion Ragaa brought into this world. The funds raised will support ongoing charitable projects, including the construction of a well to provide fresh drinking water to those most in need, In sha Allah.
As of today, the fundraiser has raised $250 CAD out of a $5,000 goal, with contributions from three donors. The donations include $50 from an anonymous donor, $100 from Seedahmed Mohamed, and another $100 from an anonymous donor. The community is invited to contribute to this noble cause and help create a lasting tribute to a remarkable woman.
