Rae Bristow, Stockton—Rae Bristow, a kind-hearted and selfless woman known for her generous spirit, passed away unexpectedly, leaving the Stockton community in deep sorrow. Rae was a beloved figure who always went out of her way to help others, often providing shelter, food, and clothing to those in need, regardless of whether she knew them. Her compassion extended to the elderly, for whom she would run errands, clean their homes, and ensure they made it to their appointments.
Tragically, Rae’s life was cut short when she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Despite the valiant efforts of bystanders and paramedics who performed CPR and managed to revive her briefly, Rae’s brain was deprived of oxygen for too long, leading to irreversible damage. She was pronounced brain dead on July 13th.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, Rae’s sister, Lavina Barnec, who had the responsibility of claiming Rae’s body, also suffered a cardiac arrest just days later. Lavina is currently on life support in a long-term care facility in Modesto, CA, leaving her unable to fulfill her sister’s final arrangements.
To ensure Rae is laid to rest with dignity, Sandra Mckay, a close friend of Rae and Lavina, has organized a fundraiser. The goal is to raise $5,600 to cover the costs of cremation and other funeral expenses. Sandra’s efforts have just begun, and she is appealing to the community for support.
Rae Bristow’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew her, and the Stockton community is urged to come together in her memory. The fundraiser is a way to honor Rae’s legacy of kindness and ensure she is remembered for the love and care she offered to so many.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Rae Bristow. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
