Quan Le, Calgary, AB — The Calgary community mourns the passing of Quan Le, a deeply respected father, husband, friend, colleague, musician, and beloved music teacher. In his honor, a fundraiser has been organized by Abby Charchun to create a memorial bench that will celebrate Quan’s impactful legacy.
After over six years on the waiting list, a bench location has become available at North Glenmore Park, a serene area cherished by Quan’s friends and family. Situated near the storm pond by the park’s north entrance, the bench will offer a westward view over the water, creating a peaceful spot for reflection. This site, within walking distance of Calgary Girls Charter School, is especially meaningful, as Quan’s teaching and presence there profoundly affected the lives of students and staff alike.
The memorial bench project is expected to take around six months to complete. Once finalized, Quan’s friends, family, and community members plan to gather for a ceremony, honoring his life and the joy he brought to so many through his dedication and love for music and teaching.
Support has already begun pouring in for the fundraiser, with early donations from the Rivers Clan ($100), Lori Olson ($50), and Jocelyn Monteith ($50), each helping to bring this heartfelt tribute to fruition.
Our hearts and prayers are with Quan Le’s family and loved ones during this time of loss. May his memory live on through the lives he touched and this lasting tribute in North Glenmore Park.
