Phillip Pennartz of Wichita Falls, TX—Phillip Pennartz passed away following a devastating car accident. The community is reeling from the loss of both Phillip and his wife, Tina Pennartz, in a tragic collision that has left their family and friends heartbroken.

Phillip and Tina Pennartz were returning from a family event on the night of October 12th when the accident occurred. According to reports, their daughter Emily Pennartz, who was driving, fell asleep at the wheel. This led to a head-on collision that took the lives of both Phillip and Tina at the scene. Phillip passed after sustaining a head injury, while Tina passed peacefully, never waking up from her sleep.

Emily and Phillip’s grandson, Trace, were also in the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. Emily was airlifted to Harris Methodist Hospital and is currently in critical condition after multiple surgeries, while Trace was flown to Cooks Children’s Hospital. Despite their injuries, Trace remains stable, though he faces a long road to recovery.

Messages of support have poured in for the Pennartz family. McKenzie Weatherred, a close friend of the family, shared her deep grief on social media, along with many others who knew and loved Phillip. Hannah Bachert wrote, "Thanks for setting this up, Kenz. Biggest prayers." Kalyx McGee added, "Prayers!!!" as the community rallied around the family.

James Decker reflected on Emily’s short time in Stamford, writing, "Emily has only been here a short time, but we have come to love her as part of our community. We will continue to lift her and her family in prayer." Carlee Coggins also shared, "We live in Bowie and passed the scene of the accident last night. All we could do was pray as we drove by, because we knew it wasn’t good."

A GoFundMe page has been set up by McKenzie Edgar to support the Pennartz family with funeral expenses for Phillip and Tina, and to cover Emily’s mounting medical bills as she continues to fight for her life. Katie Pennartz, their daughter, is doing her best to remain positive and be there for both Emily and Trace during this unimaginably difficult time.
