Phillip Bentley, Big Pool, MD—Phillip Bentley passed away on December 3rd at the age of 45 after a long battle with illness. Phillip, a cherished member of the local Mustang club, was known for his passion for cars and his unwavering love for his family. His loss has left a profound impact on his fiancée, Elizabeth, and his two daughters, Alyssa and Alisha, who are still in high school.
Earlier this year, Phillip was diagnosed with a brain abscess and underwent a life-saving procedure on July 3rd. Despite months of hospitalization and a brave fight, he never fully recovered. Phillip was able to return home in October but was unable to return to work, and tragically, his condition worsened, leading to his passing.
His family fondly remembers their yearly participation in Mustang events, with Phillip proudly bringing his 1991 Fox Body Mustang to the Carlisle Ford Nationals for the first time this past June. His daughters, Alyssa and Alisha, and fiancée Elizabeth were always by his side, creating lasting memories at these events.
Phillip’s death has left his family in a difficult financial situation, with medical and end-of-life expenses mounting. In response, a fundraiser has been set up by Chrissy Hicks to assist the Bentley family with these costs and to help provide for the future of his daughters. The community’s support is deeply appreciated as they navigate this tragic loss.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Phillip Bentley’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
