Patrick Davis, Marietta, GA—The Davis family is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Patrick Davis, who passed away early on Sunday, September 29th, 2024. Patrick’s passing has left his wife Leslie and their loved ones in deep sorrow. He had been battling metastatic stage 4 esophageal cancer, which had suddenly progressed, leading to his untimely death.

Patrick, described as a strong and devoted husband, had been Leslie’s partner for 36 years, a relationship that began in their high school years. The cancer took a toll on his body, causing severe complications, including a compression back fracture, which led to difficulties in movement and even swallowing. Despite numerous doctor appointments and diagnoses, Patrick’s condition worsened rapidly, culminating in his tragic passing.

Leslie, who has been dealing with her own health issues and is on dialysis while awaiting a kidney transplant, is now grappling with immense grief and financial strain. Patrick’s death has left her without his disability income, and she now faces funeral expenses, medical bills that Medicare didn’t cover, and the challenge of maintaining their household.

A fundraiser has been organized by Jennifer Ingram to help Leslie with these overwhelming expenses. The community has already started showing their support, with donations such as the $100 contribution from Scott Malley, but much more help is needed during this difficult time.
