Patricia P Au, Renton, WA — The community is mourning the loss of Patricia "P" Au, who tragically passed away in a hit and run accident earlier this week. She was returning home from playing mahjong in the early morning hours of July 6 when her motorcycle struck an elk.
Patricia, affectionately known as "P," was known for her infectious laughter, bear hugs, and love for motorcycle rides. She enjoyed late-night rides on her Harley, as well as morning, group, and solo rides, often riding beside her husband, Ric. P was a proud mother to her daughter Sydney and cherished her extended family, frequently sharing stories of her adventures and life around her uncle’s restaurant.
The accident has left her family and friends deeply saddened. Hollie Imburgia, a friend, shared her heartfelt thoughts on Facebook, expressing how Patricia’s passing has affected her: "For those of you who heard about my friend P who passed away in a hit and run accident earlier this week, if you’re able please consider donating. And please continue to keep her family in your prayers. I can’t even think or read about her without choking up."
To support Patricia’s family during this difficult time, a fundraiser has been organized by Carla Lantz. The goal is to raise $10,000 to help cover the funeral expenses and support the family. So far, $220 has been raised from three generous donors: Cathy Swick ($100), Cathy Lynch ($20), and Michelle Stark ($100).
Patricia’s memory will live on through the love and joy she shared with those around her. Her friends and family will cherish the moments they had with her, finding comfort in the legacy she left behind.
