Pam Nelson, Santa Fe, TX— Pam Nelson passed away on Saturday, November 16th, after a brief but intense medical battle. She had suffered a basilar artery stroke on Monday, November 11th, which led to brain surgery in an effort to remove a blood clot. Sadly, the damage proved irreparable, and Pam never regained consciousness.
Pam’s family, heartbroken by her condition, made the painful decision to discontinue life support and transition to hospice care. She had always expressed a desire to donate her body to science, but due to certain criteria, that wish could not be fulfilled. As a result, the family is now focusing on honoring her final wish for cremation and having her ashes placed with her mother at her burial site in north Texas.
The unexpected financial burden has placed a strain on Pam’s family, who had long relied on Social Security retirement benefits to meet basic living expenses. In light of these circumstances, a fundraiser has been organized by Amanda Trumble-Maldonado to support the family in covering cremation costs and other expenses.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Pam’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, and we pray for peace and comfort in the days ahead.
