Omar Aguirre, Mississauga, ON—Omar Aguirre passed away following a tragic car accident on September 23, 2024. His sudden death has left his family and loved ones in deep mourning. Omar was a beloved husband to Jacqueline and father to Samuel and Anny Alejandra. The family was involved in a car accident that claimed Omar’s life instantly, while his daughter Anny remains in critical condition in the ICU.

Anny Alejandra, who was in the car with her parents, suffered severe injuries, including a critical spinal injury, and remains in a coma. She is currently awaiting multiple surgeries, including one for her spine to determine if she will regain the ability to walk, and others for her left eye and arm, which were severely injured in the crash.

Omar’s wife, Jacqueline, sustained lighter injuries in the accident but faces the immense emotional and financial burden of supporting their daughter through her recovery. Meanwhile, their son Samuel, who was studying and working in Canada, has returned to Ecuador to support his mother during this heartbreaking time.

The community has come together to support the Aguirre family through a fundraiser organized by Fernanda Rivera, Omar’s cousin-in-law. The fundraiser seeks to assist the family with medical expenses for Anny’s surgeries and recovery, as well as funeral costs for Omar. Fernanda has shared the devastation of the event and urged people to come together to support the family in their time of need.
