Oleg Bragish, Westfield, MA— The community is mourning the passing of Oleg Bragish, who passed away on November 26, 2024, after a long battle with brain cancer. Oleg, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, touched many lives with his kindness, faith, and selflessness. He was known for always putting others before himself and serving as a perfect example of a true believer and man of God.
Oleg had been diagnosed with brain cancer in 2023 and underwent chemotherapy in an attempt to reduce the tumor. After a second surgery in July 2024, complications led to him falling into a coma, from which he could not recover. His spirit remained strong, focused on his faith and hope for healing, but it was ultimately God’s plan that brought him to rest.
He leaves behind his wife Karina and their four children—Alisa, 12; Polina, 11; Arina, 8; and Mathew, 4. Oleg’s passing has left his family with an immense void, and they are now receiving support from the community through a fundraiser to cover funeral expenses and to help the family during this difficult time.
The love and generosity that Oleg shared with others are being reflected through the kindness of those who are contributing to a fundraiser organized by Liliya Yurtuc. The goal is to provide some financial relief for Karina and the children, allowing them the time and space to grieve without additional burdens.
As friends, family, and the community continue to honor Oleg’s memory, they pray for peace and comfort for his wife and children.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Oleg Bragish. Our thoughts and prayers are with Karina and her family during this difficult time.
