Ntxoov Tsheej Muas, Green Bay, WI— Ntxoov Tsheej Muas, also known as Chong Cheng Moua, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the age of 50. He was surrounded by his loving wife, children, and siblings at the time of his passing. Chong’s untimely departure has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Chong, a devoted father, son, brother, and friend, was known for his generosity, wisdom, and kindness. He shared his time and resources with those around him, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many. Chong and his family, originally refugees from Laos, moved to the United States in the late 1980s, settling in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where they worked hard to fulfill the American Dream. He was a dedicated employee at IPG in Menasha, WI, for 26 years and an active member of the Hmong community, supporting various organizations including the Moua Council of Wisconsin.
Chong’s legacy extended beyond his professional and community contributions. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and creating lasting memories with his loved ones. He was especially fond of cruising in his Corvette and honoring Hmong cultural traditions. Despite his busy life, Chong also enjoyed relaxing by his pool and playing with his grandchildren.
Tragically, Chong suffered a severe head injury on the night of September 25, 2024, after falling from a bar stool in his home. Despite initial signs of coherence, his condition rapidly worsened, and after undergoing emergency surgery, doctors informed his family that his chances of survival were nil. Chong passed peacefully after four days in the hospital.
The family is deeply grateful for the support and condolences they have received from friends, community members, and loved ones. A fundraiser has been organized to assist with medical and funeral expenses. The family welcomes the presence of those who wish to honor Chong’s life at the Hmong funeral service, which will be held on November 22nd-23rd, 2024, at the Hmong Culture Service Center Funeral Home in Green Bay.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Moua family during this difficult time.
