Nobby Reynolds—known affectionately as "granddad" by his family—passed away on October 30, 2024, leaving behind loved ones who are now working to give him a farewell worthy of his remarkable life. Nobby, cherished for his enduring strength and love for family, faced numerous health challenges over the years but remained resilient and spirited throughout.
In 2018, Nobby began to suffer from multiple strokes, which led to intermittent dementia. Later, he faced a severe infection that necessitated the amputation of one of his legs, and soon after, the infection spread to his remaining leg. Despite these health struggles, Nobby’s resilience and unwavering love for his family saw him through many difficult times.
As Nobby did not have life insurance until 2018, only £4,000 was accumulated for his funeral expenses over the last six years. With funeral costs estimated at £4,500, Nobby’s granddaughter, Natalie Felton, has set up a fundraiser to help cover the remaining amount. The family hopes that with support from friends, family, and the community, they can give Nobby the send-off he truly deserves.
As of today, £265 has been raised through four generous donations: Mr. Ben Reynolds contributed £50, Rita Matthews gave £200, Lisa Govan £10, and Georgina Folger £5. The family is deeply appreciative of any contribution, big or small, as they come to terms with their loss and prepare to honor Nobby’s memory.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Nobby Reynolds’ family and friends. May they find comfort and strength during this difficult time.
