Nancy Carol Rivera, Albuquerque, NM— Nancy Carol Rivera, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, has passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final days.
Nancy’s journey with cancer began in 1998 when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite undergoing several treatments and facing repeated relapses, she remained determined, overcoming the disease three times. Her strength never wavered as she fought through spinal cancer in 2003 and metastatic cancer in 2012. Unfortunately, in recent years, her condition worsened, and she was ultimately in her final stages.
A devoted mother to Roxana, Gabriel, and her late son Adrian, and a cherished grandmother to Cherish, Jazzmine, Levi, and her late grandson Andres, Nancy found her greatest joy in being with her family. She also adored her great-grandson, Emiliano. She was known for her love of crocheting blankets, making earrings, baking cookies, and her special affection for flowers, crosses, and the Dallas Cowboys. Her faith in God and love for life were evident in everything she did.
Nancy’s passing has left a profound emptiness in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. As the family navigates these difficult days, a fundraiser has been established by Vanessa Maldonado to help ease the financial burden of end-of-life expenses. The funds will be used for medical costs, funeral expenses, and other needs.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Rivera family during this time of loss. May Nancy Carol Rivera rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in the love and memories they shared with her.
