Nagwa Lado, Lincoln, NE — The community is mourning the loss of Nagwa Lado, who passed away on July 9th, 2024. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, remembered for her devotion, passion, and kindness.
Nagwa and her late husband, John Bi, came to the United States in 2001 to escape war and provide a better life for their family. She faced numerous health challenges, particularly over the past two years. Despite showing signs of improvement about a month before her passing, she was urgently taken to the ER at Bryan Health on June 17th due to a sudden, life-threatening illness. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, she passed away after a long and difficult battle.
Nagwa is survived by her children: Faragalla, Tirieza, Magboula, Minatallah, Sharoon, and Alweya. The loss has been particularly hard on the family, especially after losing their father at the end of 2021. Nagwa was a source of love, peace, selflessness, forgiveness, kindness, generosity, and joy.
A fundraiser organized by Sharoon Bi has been launched to cover memorial costs and other expenses. The goal is to raise $10,000, but so far, no donations have been received. The family has asked for thoughts, prayers, and any support to help them through this challenging time.
