Mr. Freeze, Hoover, AL—Mr. Freeze, known affectionately as The Galleria Elvis, has passed away on August 26, 2024. Mr. Freeze was a well-known figure at the Riverchase Galleria, often seen there daily. His unique presence and engaging personality made him a memorable part of the community.
Despite the fond memories many hold of Mr. Freeze, attempts to contact his relatives have been largely unsuccessful. The only known relative has declined to assume responsibility for his burial costs. As a result, a fundraiser organized by Trish Garmon is underway to cover the expenses of a proper farewell. The goal is set at $8,000, with $40 raised so far through three donations. The funds will help cover the cost of the burial plot, grave opening and closing, and additional expenses.
The community has shown support for Mr. Freeze, with Trish Garmon leading efforts to ensure he is laid to rest with dignity. Donations can be made to assist in covering these costs.
We extend our deepest sympathies to those affected by Mr. Freeze’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
