Mr. Daniel Andrew Wobbleton, originally from Thurmont, Maryland, and recently residing in Colorado Springs, CO, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully with his family by his side at UCHealth Hospital on Thursday, April 25th. His departure has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Daniel, born on November 21, 1992, in Frederick, Maryland, was the cherished son of Steven and Pamela Wobbleton. He was a graduate of Hood College in Frederick, MD, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy, with a concentration in Biology, along with minors in History and Coastal Studies. Daniel’s time at Hood College was marked by his dedication and reliability as an Instructional Technology Assistant in the Office of Information Technology. His colleagues and friends fondly remember him as one of the kindest and most intelligent individuals, describing him as "a beautiful person with a beautiful soul."
Daniel’s passions extended beyond academics; he was an avid reader, especially of classic science fiction novels, and had a deep love for history and science. He enjoyed teaching himself Japanese and often engaged in gaming with his friends, particularly Dungeons & Dragons. Family trips to the beaches of Maryland and North Carolina were among his most cherished memories, and his love for animals, including the family golden retriever and neighborhood cats, was evident to all who knew him.
In memory of Daniel, a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 17th, at 4 p.m. at St. John’s Church Parish Hall in Creagerstown, MD. A tribute video will be available soon at www.staufferfuneralhome.com, allowing friends and loved ones to honor his memory.
A GoFundMe page has been established by Steven Wobbleton to support Daniel’s family during this difficult time.
