Mike Corbett, a beloved father and respected real estate professional from Troy, NC, passed away earlier this week, leaving behind two sons, Braxton and Chase. Mike’s legacy extends beyond his career; he was known for his kind heart, creative spirit, and passion for videography. His influence was not only felt in the real estate community but also by many who followed his journey on social media.
A heartfelt post by Daniel Rushing on Facebook reflected on the deep impact Mike had on him. Daniel shared, "When I started my career in real estate, the first person I called was Mike Corbett. He did everything he could to make me successful, connecting me with mentors, doing listing photos for free, and teaching me how to negotiate deals. We made hilarious videos together. Mike was a good one. He had a good heart and was a hell of a Realtor."
The outpouring of support has been widespread, with friends and colleagues like Adriana Vinciguerra, Karen D McCall, and Steve Randy Bynum expressing their sorrow. Karen D McCall wrote, "I am torn up for his boys, his precious mom, and all of us who cared for Mike. So sorry, so sad and heart sick over this." Many others, including Nate Ridgeway and Jonnette Mayes, have also shared their condolences, remembering Mike as a charming and successful person, admired by all who knew him.
To honor Mike’s memory and provide support for his sons’ futures, Heather Cook has organized a fundraiser in his name. The goal of $10,000 is set to help ensure Braxton and Chase are supported during this difficult time.
Mike’s memorial service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Bumgarner Funeral Services in Troy, NC.
Our deepest condolences go out to Mike Corbett’s family and friends. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who loved him. Rest in peace, Mike.
