Micheal Jollimore, Indian Harbour, NS—Community Grieves Unexpected Loss

Micheal Jollimore, also known as "Red" or "Mike," passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, following a tragic car accident at 9:28 pm. The news of his passing has left his family, friends, and the entire community in shock and deep sorrow. Mike, who had just completed a 27-day recovery program, was hopeful for a new beginning and had plans to reunite with his family, but fate had other plans.

Mike was dearly loved by those around him, especially by his two sons, Alexander and Maddox, who now face life without their father. His sister, Kimm Kent, who organized the fundraiser, shared that Mike had been working hard on his recovery, embracing the concept of "radical acceptance." His determination to be the best version of himself for his family and future was evident, making his sudden passing all the more heartbreaking.

In memory of Mike, a fundraiser has been set up to cover the costs of his funeral, as he did not have life insurance. The goal is to raise $5,000 CAD, but the campaign is yet to receive its first donation. The family is grateful for any support during this difficult time.

A memorial service for Micheal Jollimore will be held on September 10th at Walkers Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove Rd, Upper Tantallon, NS, at 11 am. The community is invited to come together to honor Mike’s memory and celebrate the life of a beloved son, brother, father, and friend whose smile could light up any room.
