Matthew Wesley Stuart, Falmouth—Matthew Wesley Stuart, a beloved community member, passed away following a severe accident in Falmouth. Matthew, born on May 16, 1995, was critically injured while crossing the street and was airlifted to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He remained in critical condition before being taken off life support on Friday, passing away early on the morning of October 26, 2024.
Matthew was known for his adventurous spirit and deep love for music, often seen with headphones, immersed in his "MIND WORLD." Those who knew him fondly remember his willingness to help others through difficult times, despite his own challenges. His kindness and selflessness made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Matthew leaves behind his mother, Melody Martinez; father, John Stewart Sr.; his brother and sister, Katie and John Stewart, along with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. His family and friends will forever cherish his memory, recalling his unique way of bringing comfort and joy to those around him.
A fundraiser has been organized by James Micarone to support the family during this challenging time. As of now, donations have started to come in, with David McClelland contributing $50 to help meet the expenses.
The family will hold a service in Matthew’s honor on November 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 74 Algonquin Ave, Mashpee, MA 02649, where loved ones and friends will gather to celebrate his life.
