His sudden passing has touched the hearts of many, with loved ones finding comfort in the lasting legacy of his life.
Matt was born on August 11, 1980, in Peoria, Illinois. A man of intellect and ambition, Matt had a strong foundation in both his personal and professional life. He was an advocate for his community, having served as a City Councilman in West Lafayette, Indiana, from 2003 to 2007, always striving to improve the lives of those around him. His commitment to leadership extended into his career, where he made a significant impact in the financial sector as a founding partner of USDM Stablecoin and as the U.S. Head of Money Market Credit for DWS Group.
Above all, Matt was a devoted husband to Jillian Shaw, whom he married on February 22, 2008, and a loving father to their seven children: Karol, Patrick, Maximilian, Reagan, JohnPaul "Jack," Joseph, and Theodore "Teddy."
