His medical journey involved frequent stays at both Medicine Hat Hospital and the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, where his resilience and joyful nature touched the hearts of nurses, doctors, and caregivers alike.
His family, who provided Matthew with unwavering love and support throughout his life, is now grieving an immense loss. They were unprepared for the financial burden of funeral arrangements and other related expenses. To help alleviate these costs, a fundraiser has been organized by Sandra Lanz on GoFundMe. She has appealed to the community for support to help with the celebration of Matthew’s life and other expenses.
