Matayo Issaih Harris, Jonesboro, AR Community Mourns Loss of Beloved Family Member

Matayo Issaih Harris, a cherished member of the Jonesboro, AR community, passed away on August 19, 2024, due to a sickness, leaving his family and friends heartbroken. Matayo, remembered for his kind soul and the joy he found in being with his loved ones, struggled with depression but found solace in the presence of his family.

His sister, Makayla Williams, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs of his cremation and to bring him back home to New Port Richey, Florida, as Matayo had always wished. The fundraiser, created on August 21, 2024, has raised $195 out of a $1,500 goal through the generosity of six donors.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Makayla expressed her determination to fulfill her brother’s final wishes: "This was highly unexpected but I’ll do everything in my power to make things right for my brother so family and friends seeing this please help out in any way that you can. My brother wants to come back home."

Community members have shown their support and sympathy through touching donations and messages. Notable contributions include $50 from Natasha Love and $20 from Michelle Walls, among others.

Makayla continues to share her brother’s story, hoping to gather the necessary funds for his cremation. "Anything helps," she shared, vowing to keep his memory alive and bring him home to rest.
