Mary Belgum, Denver, CO— Mary Belgum, affectionately known as Mary-Anne by her family, passed away after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma. She was 68 years old. A devoted Christian and nurse for over 40 years, Mary touched the lives of many with her caring nature and selfless dedication.
Originally from western Nebraska, Mary settled in the Denver area in the early 1980s, where she raised her children and worked tirelessly as a nurse. She was also a strong-willed single parent who cherished her free time spent reading and exploring the beautiful Colorado wilderness.
Mary is survived by her daughter Nicole Garza and her son Nathaniel. In an effort to honor her memory, her family is organizing a fundraiser to assist with the funeral costs as they prepare to lay Mary to rest in Kimball, NE, near her mother. The funeral service is scheduled for December 7th, and all who loved her are welcome to attend.
The family is grateful for any donations, which will help alleviate the unforeseen expenses that come with such a sudden loss. The community’s support during this difficult time is deeply appreciated.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mary Belgum. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family as they navigate this time of grief.
