Mark Rediger, York, NE—The York community mourns the loss of Mark Rediger, who unexpectedly passed away on November 15, 2024, after suffering a fall earlier in the week. Mark, who spent the majority of his life in York, was a cherished friend, family member, and loyal employee of Grand Central (Super Value) grocery store.

Mark graduated from York High School in 1981 alongside his twin sister, Marla (Rediger) Svoboda, who passed away in 1988. His dedication to his work and kindness to those around him made him a beloved figure in the community. Mark was nearing his 62nd birthday, which would have been on December 2nd of this year.

Kathy Johnson, a family member, has organized a fundraiser to help support the family with unexpected expenses related to Mark’s passing. The community has already shown its support with three donations totaling $150, contributed by Cindi Nickel, Diane Wolfe, and an anonymous donor. The fundraiser aims to offset funeral costs and other expenses during this challenging time.
