Mark Kloberdanz, Springfield, GA — The community is deeply saddened by the loss of Mark Kloberdanz, who passed away unexpectedly three months ago. Mark was a cherished husband, father, and friend, remembered for his dedication and service to his country and his family.
His wife, Patricia Kloberdanz, and their youngest child, who is still in high school, are facing significant challenges following his sudden death. Mark, a retired Marine who was deployed multiple times to the Gulf War, had a disability rating with the VA that made life insurance unaffordable, leaving the family to cover funeral expenses out of pocket.
A fundraiser organized by Janet Wilson on behalf of Patricia Kloberdanz has been established to help cover the costs of food, housing, and funeral expenses. So far, $100 has been raised out of the $7,500 goal, with the first donation coming from Jennifer Whitman.
Janet Friel Wilson shared on Facebook, "It’s been 3 months since my dear friend Mark Kloberdanz unexpectedly passed away. Since his military disability rating made life insurance unaffordable, there was no policy in place to cover funeral expenses. Tricia is awaiting the results of the autopsy (done by GBI) so that his affairs can be settled & any military benefits can resume. Until then, everything is on hold. So, please donate if possible. Any amount will help and will be much appreciated by me and the Kloberdanz family."
The community has shown their support through touching Facebook posts, and the fundraiser aims to provide Patricia and her family with the financial support they need during this difficult time.
