Marino John— The community is mourning the passing of Marino John, who spent his final months at home on Guam, surrounded by family and love. His family shared the heartbreaking news that Marino passed away after facing challenges in receiving critical heart surgery off the island in November 2023.
Known for his kindness and selflessness, Marino’s thoughts were always with his family, even during his own struggles. Up until his final day, he worried about how his loved ones would manage after he was gone. One of his last wishes was to be laid to rest in Guam, the place he called home. His family, led by Jennifer Lizama, is working to fulfill this final wish with the help of the community.
A fundraiser has been set up by Jennifer Lizama to support Marino John’s memorial and final resting arrangements. Although donations have just begun, the family is hopeful that the love and generosity of others will help them honor Marino’s memory on October 25, 2024.
